Thank you for your ongoing commitment to Whangamatā Surf Lifesaving Club.

As an Active Lifeguard, you are the backbone of our organisation. Your dedication to patrols, training, emergency response and keeping our community safe is greatly appreciated. Every hour you volunteer makes a real difference, and we sincerely thank you for your service.

For some of you this will be your first season as a fully qualified lifeguard or patrol support.  Congratulations!

If you are Under 18 years of age, you will need a parent or guardian to register you.

Membership Fees

Early Bird: Renew and pay before 1 September 2026 to receive a 16.5% discount.

  • Forgot your password? Click Forgot Password
  • Check your personal details
  • Select Volunteer
  • Add merchandise (optional)
  • Accept the Terms & Conditions
  • Choose your payment option
  • Payment Options
    • Credit Card – Membership is confirmed immediately.
    • Other – An invoice will be emailed to you.

New Members

Joining is easy!

  • Remember to pick volunteer when it asks you to pick which group to be in
  • (Please note you can re-register for any of the lifesaving sport or junior surf programmes once you become a member)

Active Lifeguard Responsibilities

As an Active Lifeguard you agree to:

  • Maintain the standards required of an Active Lifeguard.
  • Attend patrols, training and operational activities as required
  • Follow all Surf Life Saving New Zealand policies, procedures and operational standards.
  • Follow the Club Constitution, Rules and Policies.
  • Treat fellow members, volunteers and the public with respect.
  • Keep your qualifications and contact details up to date.
  • Pay membership fees on time.
  • Use Club facilities and equipment responsibly.
  • Understand that membership does not provide ownership of Club assets.
  • By submitting your membership application, you confirm that you have read and agree to the Club Constitution, Code of Conduct and these Member Responsibilities.

# Please note, members that have outstanding fees from the 2025/26 season will NOT be rolled over into the 2026/27 season until all fees have been paid.
