WHANGAMATA SURF LIFE SAVING CLUB

Since 1949 we have provided services to promote, enable and deliver safe, fun coastal recreation at Whangamata and its surrounding beaches. This would not be possible without our family of volunteers, members and sponsors.

Junior Surf

Junior Surf is a fantastic way for families to become involved in surf life saving. It teaches kids from 5 years old up to 13, how to stay safe at the beach and in the water while having heaps of fun and making new friends.

Life Saving Sport

We encourage all lifeguards to participate in rescue style events to ensure that their fitness is kept up to a high standard by creating friendly competition within the club.

LIFEGUARDING

Whangamata Surf Life Saving Club operates both voluntary and paid lifeguard services throughout the summer period. The squad trains together each week and responds to incidents from Houmunga Bay to Pauanui.
