Registration opens at 9am on Sunday 23 October 2022
Junior Surf Dates
Shoulder season
Every Sunday from Labour weekend until 18 December
Peak season
December 21, 22, 23 and 24 break 25, 26 and 27 December
December 28, 29, 30, 31 December break 1, 2, 3 Jan
Then Wednesday to Sunday from 4 till 29 January (there is no Junior Surf Monday or Tuesday)

JUNIOR SURF PROGRAMME FEES
- Membership subscription $65.00
- *Cadets plus $50.00
- *Rookies plus $50.00
*These funds are used to replenish the uniforms provided and assist with coaching costs and incidentals
During the season children will participate in one of the following groups based on their birth date and age at 30 Sept 2022.

Nippers
5 to 6 years
10 am – 11 am
7 – 9 years
10 am – 11.45 am
Learning about rips, waves and staying safe in the water this programme helps kids be ‘surf smart’ and not only helps keep them safe but their friends as well. These sessions will involve no ocean activities.
Children will be signed out from Junior Surf at 11:00 am and parents can take boogie boards to the beach with their children for free time. Coaches will be present on the water’s edge but children are signed out of Junior surf and the responsibility of parents.
Cadets
10 to 11 years
10 am – 11.45 am
Building on skills from Nippers whilst being involved in more water-based activities.

Rookies
12 to 13 years
10 am – 11.45 am
This program focuses on preparing children to qualify as a lifeguard when they turn 14 (if they choose to).

Requirements for Junior Surf (compulsory)
- Membership sub $65.00
- A skull cap; must always be worn on the head. Free when joining, replacements $15.00.
- High viz vest $30.00. These ensure all children are easily seen and must be worn at every session, when competing, or using any club equipment.
