NOTICE OF SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING TO BE HELD AT HINEMUA/WHANGAMATA SURF LIFESAVING CLUB – ANNEX
6PM SATURDAY 7th FEBRUARY 2026
REVISED CONSTITUTION
Having now completed consultation with our members on the proposed new Club Constitution, this SGM is so members can vote on the adopting this new Club Constitution. The proposed motion is:
“That this Special General Meeting adopts the new Club Constitution, in the form circulated, as the new governing document of Whangamata Surf Life Saving Club Incorporated, in accordance with the Incorporated Societies Act 2022.”
Note: As with all New Zealand incorporated societies, this update to the Club Constitution is required to ensure the Club complies with new legislation – the Incorporated Societies Act 2022. Physical copies are available at the clubrooms or upon request.

The proposed changes are largely lay-out/format, as well as reflecting some mandatory requirements required by the new incorporated societies legislation.
